After graduating top of his class in high school, Dr. Chang was accepted to the prestigious and rigorous dual-degree program at the University of Pennsylvania. While simultaneously enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Wharton School of Business, Dr. Chang graduated from both with highest honors. Because of his successes in college, Dr. Chang was admitted to the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, which has been consistently ranked as a top 5 medical school nationwide. After graduating with academic, research, and clinical awards, Dr. Chang chose to complete his plastic surgery training at Georgetown University, the nation's capital's only and incredibly esteemed plastic surgery training program.

Both during his time at Georgetown and after completing his training, Dr. Chang sought additional specialized training in advanced facial aesthetics in Asia. Dr. Chang learned advanced surgical techniques from multiple surgeons from multiple countries. He gained specific and unique training in periorbital rejuvenation, augmentation rhinoplasty, facial implants, and facial skeletal contouring. While in Seoul, Korea, Dr. Chang trained with world-renowned plastic surgeon, Professor Jong-Woo Choi, and world-renowned facial plastic surgeon, Professor Yong-Ju Jang. Dr. Chang worked first-hand to learn the techniques and approaches from these two surgeon-experts and authored several papers with them during his fellowship time. For his work, Professor Jang awarded him for completing his Fellowship in Facial Aesthetic Surgery.

Dr. Chang is excited to treat patients throughout the DMV area at one of his four office locations: Alexandria, Reston, Rockville, and McLean. Dr. Chang has an active medical license in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC, and he has clinical privileges at multiple hospitals throughout the DMV region. Dr. Chang is a candidate member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS). Dr. Chang is board-eligible by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).
