Dr. Elise Mecham, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon, a Utah Valley native, and the mother of five amazing children.

Dr. Mecham received her bachelors of science at Utah University, and became one of the very first students to go on to medical school from the biology department. After graduating in the top five of her graduating class with AOA, a national honor for medical students which promotes student leadership, community service, and excellence in academics, from the University of Utah School of Medicine, she completed her residency in plastic surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She then went on to finish an additional year of fellowship training in microvascular reconstruction for cancer patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Her training reinforced the critical importance of therapeutic doctor-patient relationship as well as the collaborative approach to medical decision making and surgical outcomes.
