Dr. Thompson is a double board-certified plastic surgeon with experience in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Dr. Thompson knows that, for his patients, there is no such thing as a small surgery. He understands the stress and emotional weight of medical decision making and planning to have an operation, whether for elective reasons or an unanticipated medical diagnosis. He strives to make his patients feel comfortable, calm, and confident that they are going to receive excellent care – the same care that he would give his mother, brother, or child. Dr. Thompson will work with you to develop a plan that is safe and effective and will discuss risks, benefits, and alternative approaches. As a surgeon and educator, he takes pride in being knowledgeable about both new innovations in plastic surgery as well as tried and true techniques.

Dr. Thompson has special interest in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. He has extensive experience caring for patients with breast cancer and performing both implant- and tissue-based methods of breast reconstruction. He particularly enjoys caring for patients with massive weight loss after bariatric surgery, as well as patients in the transgender community.
