Profile of Irfan Galaria, Dr
Dr. Irfan Galaria was born and raised in Michigan. He is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He was accepted into a competitive 6-year accelerated B.S./MD program with Jefferson Medical College. While in medical school, he earned a National Health Service Scholarship to pursue an accelerated MBA in Health Care Administration. Dr. Irfan Galaria’s training and specialization in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery allow him to provide a wide range of surgical and non-surgical procedures while utilizing cutting-edge techniques.
He is a leader in the field of medicine and has helped develop new therapies and technologies for treating medical as well as surgical diseases. He has published over two dozen articles in major peer-reviewed medical journals, and he has given over a dozen presentations at national and international medical conferences. He has also been chosen to help lead a committee of surgeons to help determine best practices in the treatment of skin cancers.
Prior to relocating to Virginia, he was a faculty attending at an academic, teaching hospital where he cared for some of the most complex plastic and reconstructive patients, and where he was responsible for training future generations of Plastic Surgeons.
