Profile of Khashayar Mohebali, Dr
Dr. Mohebali has been a board-certified plastic surgeon here in Marin County for years and has a long and illustrious track record as a member of our community here in the North Bay. Dr. Mohebali serves as both the Chief of the Department of Surgery and the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Marin General Hospital. He also serves on the hospital’s board of the Medical Executive Committee, a position that gives him unprecedented knowledge and expertise, to better serve the San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Marin County community as a whole.
Dr. Mohebali has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Medicine from The Ohio State University. Dr. Mohebali excelled in both undergraduate and medical school, and received an induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor society as a result of all of his hard work. After receiving his degrees, Dr. Mohebali did his practical studies at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Hospital, where he trained in the combined general surgery and plastic surgery program; both of which were highly touted and respected programs at the hospital.
In his last year of residency, Dr. Mohebali also committed himself to an intensive research program studying advanced wound healing. This included advanced therapies in diabetic wound healing, and was funded by a grant from the National Institute of Health (NIH).
