Dr. Justin Wudel, MD, is a fellowship-trained facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and full board-certified otolaryngologist serving patients from Renew Plastic Surgery’s Minneapolis-area clinic.

If you ask what motivated him to become a doctor and help found Renew, he’ll tell you, “I always wanted to be in a field where I thought I could make a meaningful difference in people’s lives and have an immediate impact. When I was introduced to the field of facial plastic surgery I knew I had found my calling. I loved the variety of cases, the challenges of complex anatomy and the meaningful impact surgery had on a patient’s self confidence.”

During his residency, he was awarded a grant for his work in bone regeneration. After that, Dr. Wudel developed expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face during a prestigious fellowship at the University of Michigan. Patients praise Dr. Wudel for his thoughtful approach to facelifts, rhinoplasty, and scar revision alongside his nuanced skill working on aging faces.

Dr. Justin Wudel, MD, received his bachelor’s and medical degrees from the University of Minnesota — where he joined their prestigious medical honor society — before completing his Otolaryngology residency at the University of Colorado. He further honed his expertise as a fellow under Dr. Shan Baker at the University of Michigan and was honored with the Leslie Bernstein Investigator Developmental Grant — given only to up-and-coming early-career otolaryngology researchers.

Recognized for his exceptional contributions to the field, Dr. Wudel has been repeatedly named a Top Doctor by Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine, most recently in 2024.
