Jack Quigley, M.D., is a tried and true midwesterner. A graduate of the University of Illinois and the Southern Illinois School of Medicine, Dr. Quigley completed his general surgery residency at Western Reserve Care System in Youngstown, Ohio, where he and Dr. Lex first became friends. He has been a Trauma Surgeon in Rockford, Illinois. Dr. Quigley is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is Board-Certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He completed a fellowship in hand surgery from the Medical College of Ohio and the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Quigley sees patients in Flagstaff.

His move to Flagstaff to join Dr. Lex at PSNA in 1991 was Dr. Quigley’s first foray at living outside the Illinois/Ohio area, but he quickly found that Flagstaff had all those qualities important to a midwesterner: friendly people who aren’t pretentious, and four seasons that included snow. He was thrilled to be able to establish a very busy practice in one of the most beautiful areas in the U.S.

An avid athlete and outdoorsman, Dr. Quigley played football, soccer, and ice hockey until ten knee surgeries finally sidelined him. Now, he mountain bikes, including his yearly trip with Dr. Lex over 13,000 foot passes in the San Juan Mountains. Dr. Quigley also coaches and referees youth soccer, and he loves to scuba dive.

Married for over thirty years, Dr. Quigley is a father of four. His youngest daughter was adopted from China and suffered from a cleft palate. Twelve surgeries later, many performed by himself and Dr. Lex, she is now a budding gymnast. Originally attracted to medicine because of his desire to help people, Dr. Quigley likes that there is both a cosmetic and reconstructive side to PSNA which, with the hand surgeries, makes his practice both varied and exciting.

In addition to his work with PSNA, Dr. Quigley has also served as the Chief of Surgery at Flagstaff Medical Center for three years, the Chief of Staff for one year, and now serves on the Physician Review Committee. Dr. Quigley loves his job, especially the fact that, for him, PSNA feels like an extended family.
