Dr. Andrew Kornstein is a board-certified plastic surgeon who has been practicing for over 25 years. He is a highly skilled, innovative and experienced surgeon who has had specialty training in a wide range of procedures, including hairline lowering, rhinoplasty, breast surgery, and body contouring. Dr. Kornstein is a leading expert in non-surgical procedures, with peer reviewed publications including facial rejuvenation and skin-tightening.

Dr. Kornstein is a graduate of Weill Cornell Medical College and completed his residency in plastic surgery at the Columbia University/St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Rhinoplasty Society.

Early in his education, Dr. Kornstein was mentored by Sydney Coleman, M.D., an innovator in fat grafting techniques. This relationship allowed Dr. Kornstein to acquire an intimate knowledge of facial aging. This knowledge enabled him to develop techniques to reverse these changes using hand-harvested adipose derived fat cells from one’s own body.

Recognized the world over as the expert in the technique, Dr. Kornstein authored the chapter on “Using Fat Cells for Rejuvenation” in the prestigious Encyclopedia of Aesthetic Rejuvenation.

Dr. Kornstein is a leading innovator in Ultherapy techniques. Beginning in 2011, he pioneered the use of the technology to enhance healing after rhinoplasty as well as the non-surgical removal of injected silicone from facial soft tissues. The results of these techniques have been published the peer reviewed journal, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal.
