Frequently Asked Questions about Silhouette InstaLift®
Ask a question-
How does Silhouette InstaLift® work?
Using a double-action effect, the procedure effectively adds skin smoothing and toning as well as definition to the face. The insertion of the sutures immediately repositions the tissue and stimulates the regeneration of collagen that will continue for many months. Gentle pressure is applied to the treated area to reshape the contours of your face.
-
How long does silhouette lift last?
The results typically last for between 18 months and two years, depending on a number of factors. To get the best results from your threads, you can make lifestyle changes such as wearing sunscreen, avoiding smoking and excessive drinking and following a balanced, healthy diet.
-
Who is a good candidate for Silhouette InstaLift®?
The procedure, also called Silhouette Soft, is recommended for men and women who want to correct sagging skin and loss of volume but aren’t ready for surgery.
-
What are the threads made from?
Poly L-lactic acid (PLLA) is the primary material used in the threads. It has a well-established safety record with many biomedical and pharmaceutical applications because it offers excellent biocompatibility and is biodegradable.
-
What makes the Silhouette InstaLift® threads unique?
There are small cones on the sutures that provides traction and fixation points which then stimulates the production and build-up of collagen.
-
Is the procedure safe?
The procedure has been developed after six years of research. With more than 150,000 treatments carried out around the world, Silhouette InstaLift® has been proved to be a safe, effective treatment to reverse some of the signs of aging.

Every procedure I have had at Dr Langdons (ExpreSs facelift, facial injections and laser resurfacing) office has been a very pleasing improvement for me....

Dr. Langdon and all of his nurses are very nice and friendly, they always make you feel very comfortable at every moment. Dr. Langdon is extremely experienced in his work and very precise. I think of him as an artistic doctor. I am very satisfied with my results and I have full trust in the work he performs. I highly recommend him to anyone who expect the best results. Because of his expert artistic ability, you can’t help but feel a whole lot more confident about how you look and feel about yourself. I can’t thank him and his staff enough?

First I would like to mention that I have never met dr Langdon. I had scheduled a consultation with him a month prior to the appointment. My appointment suppose to be tomorrow Friday 11/30. I have received at least 12 calls concerning this appt since Monday. First they asked me to reschedule because they will be short staffed on Friday and the receptionist got annoyed when I told her that I have no problem rescheduling but only fridays work for me. She then asked me to keep the existing appointment. I confirmed the appt with her. Since then I have received 3 other calls asking to confirm the appointment. Yesterday they informed me they moved my appt from Friday to following Tuesday which I informed them that it does not work for me. I was told yet again to keep my appt tomorrow. Today I have received 2 new calls informing me that my appt for tomorrow was cancelled and asking me to call to reschedule. Needless to say I have no intention to reschedule with them nor that I would recommend this office to anyone else.
