Dr. Kanter is well known among the leading Hampton, Newport News and Williamsburg plastic and reconstructive surgeons for his outstanding work and expertise. A leader in plastic and reconstructive surgery in the Hampton Roads region, Dr. Mark J. Kanter is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Southern Medical Society, the Virginia Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Medical Society of Virginia. One of the leading Hampton cosmetic surgeons, Dr. Kanter offers patients a clean and secure environment for outpatient surgical operations and is available now for consultation on your next cosmetic or reconstructive procedure. He has more than two decades of experience and has performed over four thousand procedures.

A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Dr. Kanter is married and has five adult children. His family continues to grow and enrich his life. Dr. Kanter enjoys mentoring students and supporting local artists. He maintains an active love of the outdoors, including: white-water rafting, canoeing, hiking and bicycling.
