Michael Salvino, M.D. was born and raised in Chicago. He received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University where he was also on the varsity wrestling team on an athletic scholarship. After college, Dr. Salvino continued his education by completing a Master's degree in Physiology before entering medical school. Dr. Salvino was fortunate to have completed his medical training in Chicago, including four years of medical school at the Chicago Medical School and eight years of residency at some of Chicago's most prominent medical centers. He finished a five-year residency in general surgery graduating from the prestigious Northwestern University program. Dr. Salvino then pursued specialized training in Plastic Surgery, completing a three-year fellowship program at Loyola University Medical Center.Â Topping off his professional training, Dr. Salvino completed the rigorous testing and certification process and is double board certified in both Surgery and Plastic Surgery.Â

An approachable personality combined with some of the best surgical training in the country, Dr. Salvino strives to provide the best care for each patient.
