Dr. Lauren Umstattd is a board-certified facial plastic surgeon and the visionary behind FACE Leawood. Known for her sharp eye, meticulous technique, and commitment to natural, elegant results, she brings a bold and modern approach to aesthetic medicine.

Born and raised in Kansas City, Dr. Umstattd trained extensively at the University of Missouri, where she earned her medical degree with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her residency in Head and Neck Surgery and was recognized with the prestigious Jerry W. Templer Excellence in Residency Award. Her pursuit of excellence led her to a competitive fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, where she focused exclusively on advanced techniques for the face, nose, and neck.

A former Division I gymnast, Dr. Umstattd blends athletic discipline with artistic precision—qualities that have made her one of the most sought-after female facial plastic surgeons in the Midwest. As one of only a few women in her field regionally, she’s passionate about redefining beauty standards, empowering women, and delivering results that celebrate each patient’s unique features.
