Harry Mittelman, MD, is a board certified facial plastic surgeon who has been practicing around the Peninsula and Southbay and serving Los Altos, Palo Alto, San Jose, Silicon Valley, and the entire Bay Area for over four decades. He was also the recipient of the prestigious William K. Wright Award for his outstanding contributions to the field of Plastic Surgery.

He is the only plastic surgeon in the area who specializes exclusively in facial cosmetic surgery. As a result, Dr. Mittelman has become one of the most experienced and sought-after providers of facial cosmetic surgery available. He has taught facial cosmetic surgery as a member of the Stanford clinical faculty for over 20 years and was among the first to perform liposuction in Northern California.

Dr. Mittelman helped pioneer facial implant surgery, facial cosmetic laser surgery and techniques for facelift surgery. The Mittelman Extended Chin Implants and the Mittelman Pre-Jowl Implants are the most popular implants of their type in the United States and are used all over the world. Dr. Mittelman also pioneered the use of the carbon dioxide laser for cosmetic surgery in the mid-1980s.
