Profile of Jill Furgurson, MD

Dr. Jill E. Furgurson, a native Californian, was noted to be artistically gifted early on in middle school. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California Berkeley in 1973. Instead of developing her artistic talents, she pursued a medical school education at the University of Southern California where she graduated with honors. She then went on to complete her Emergency Medicine residency training at UCLA. Dr. Furgurson (also affectionately known as Dr. Jill) has been board certified and re-certified four times in Emergency Medicine since 1983. She has extensive Emergency Medicine experience from her positions at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, Ventura County Hospital and a faculty position at UCLA. The Malibu community fortunately attracted Dr. Jill to take over the struggling Malibu Urgent Care Clinic 21 years ago and transform it into a top notch, cutting edge emergency clinic.
