She received her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and her Master's of Business with a concentration in Medical Services Management from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and School of Continuing Studies. She did her residency in Internal Medicine with a focus in Dermatology, Preventative medicine followed with a fellowship in Aerospace Medicine.
