Profile of Astrid Marina Zorrilla, Dr

Dr. Astrid Marina Zorrilla M.D., known by her patients as Dr. Marina, is a bilingual (English and Spanish), double-board certified physician in cosmetic surgery and obstetrics and gynecology.
Growing up in Puerto Rico, Dr. Marina lived there until leaving to attend the University of Florida. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biology and graduated cum laude. Continuing her studies at the University of Florida College of Medicine, she became a “Double Gator” when she obtained her medical degree.
Small yet impactful experiences shape one’s path and culminate in one’s expression of self through profession. Dr. Marina grew up an equestrian and enjoyed arts and crafts to express her creativity. Horseback riding and artistic expression developed her manual dexterity, fast decision-making, and critical thinking. The skills gained from these early passions translated to strong skillsets and talent in the operating room.

While in medical school, Dr. Marina developed an interest in women’s health and the surgery challenges for women. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital. With her natural attention to detail, aesthetic eye, and wanting to deepen her scope of women’s wellness, Dr. Marina pursued a fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery under the directorship of Dr. Michael Rodriguez in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Marina is a talented surgeon specializing in vaginal cosmetic surgery and body contouring. She is a fellow of both the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Her dual training in cosmetic surgery and gynecology gives her a unique ability to meet the needs of women to enhance their beauty and attend to women’s wellness needs.
When she is not providing patient care, Dr. Marina enjoys time on Florida’s beaches, a good workout, and nail art. She one day hopes to camp on Mt. Everest, but her present goal is to continue helping women feel exceptionally confident by providing beautiful results in cosmetic surgery and vaginal rejuvenation.
