Dr. Joshua Cohen is a highly skilled and accomplished academic board-eligible plastic surgeon, whose expertise spans from facial rejuvenation and body contouring to complex reconstructive surgeries. With years of education and rigorous training, and a robust background in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Cohen is recognized for his precision, artistry, and patient-centric approach.

After studying biomedical engineering at Binghamton University in New York, ultimately graduating summa cum laude and first in his class, Dr. Cohen matriculated at the prestigious NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where he was elected to the national medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). He completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at NYU Langone’s Hansjorg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery, ranked the #1 plastic surgery residency program in the United States during his time there. During his six years of training, he participated in over 2,500 cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, nose, breast, and body, learning from world experts in each, and serving as Chief Resident in his final year.

Dr. Cohen has been awarded several honors throughout his career, including the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation Resident Travel Scholarship and the Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence. He has contributed significantly to the field through over twenty-five textbook chapters and peer-reviewed publications, covering advancements in plastic surgery techniques including rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation, and innovative treatment approaches for skin conditions. He is also a dedicated educator, recently serving as a Surgical Simulation Instructor and peer reviewer for the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal.

While Dr. Cohen is productive in his academic endeavors, the heart of his practice occurs in his clinical work. Dr. Cohen’s ethos stems from his time apprenticing under world experts in the extended deep plane and bilamellar facelifts, and complex breast revisions.
