Dr. David Gilpin is a native of Nashville, TN. After graduating from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Gilpin pursued his M.D. from The University of Tennessee College of Medicine. After considering multiple medical specialties, Dr. Gilpin discovered his passion for the head and neck. He furthered his training through a five-year surgery residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Post-residency, Dr. Gilpin was hand-selected for fellowship training at Tulane University with one of the world’s leading experts in facial plastic surgery, Dr. Calvin Johnson. Dr. Johnson was a pioneer of rhinoplasty and many other cosmetic procedures in the field, and this training honed Dr. Gilpin’s training in cosmetic surgery of the nose, eyelids, face, ears, neck, and related structures.
