An Associate Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Slavin’s career is a unique blend of academic achievement and technical expertise. He is an international figure in both reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery, having served as a visiting professor at numerous institutions including the Royal College of Surgeons in England and the Royal Australian Plastic Surgical Society. Recently he was awarded the “Jubilee Medal” of the Swedish Plastic Surgical Society for a lifetime of accomplishment, specifically in the area of breast reconstruction. He has been an Associate Editor for the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, a leading publication in his specialty.
