Profile of Jane Buglione MSN,RN

She has been a Registered Nurse for 35 years in which the first 26 years were dedicated to the care of critically ill children and adolescents in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and the Pediatric Emergency Department (PED) at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital. After earning her Master’s Degree, she was hired as the Unit Based Educator in the Department of Pediatrics with a focus in the PED. She was a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor for 20 years, and a Critical Care Transport nurse for 12 years. She developed the Nursing Competency Orientation Program for PED incoming nurses and in collaboration with the medical staff, she developed the Pediatric Mock Code Simulation Program. She obtained the highest clinical nursing position as a Clinical Nurse IV (CN IV), before being awarded The Nurse Nightingale Award. She was The Number One Nurse in South Eastern Connecticut voted in The Day Newspaper in 2015.
