Profile of Iliana Sweis, MD

Dr. Iliana Sweis is the director of the North Shore Center for Plastic Surgery, Ltd. located in Northbrook, Illinois, and is the Past President of the Illinois Society of Plastic Surgeons. She is also Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Her clinical appointments include several other hospitals and surgical centers in the Chicago area.

In recognition of her professional accomplishments, Dr. Sweis has been repeatedly selected by Castle Connolly and the Consumers Research Council of America as one of the Top Plastic Surgeons in America. In recognition of her surgical volunteer work, Dr. Sweis also has the honor of being the recipient of Jordan’s Award of Highest Distinction, bestowed by King Hussein I of Jordan in 1996.

Dr. Sweis earned her medical degree at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. She completed a residency in general surgery at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Northwestern University. Dr. Sweis is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She focuses her practice exclusively on cosmetic surgery. Her areas of expertise include surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures, breast augmentation procedures, and body contouring.
