Profile of Joon Choi, Dr
Dr. Choi was born in Seoul, Korea and moved to the United States for his higher education, now living in Irvine with his wife and two children.
Upon earning a B.A. in Molecular Cell Biology in U.C. Berkeley, he went on to attend medical school at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where he earned an M.D. with distinction in research, while receiving the “Best Student in Surgery” award for excellence and future promise in surgery.
Dr. Choi then went on to complete his residency training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Michigan, regarded widely as having one of the most comprehensive and prestigious training programs in the country.
His training encompassed aesthetic, breast, hand, and craniofacial surgery.
