Frequently Asked Questions about Silhouette InstaLift®
Ask a question-
How does Silhouette InstaLift® work?
Using a double-action effect, the procedure effectively adds skin smoothing and toning as well as definition to the face. The insertion of the sutures immediately repositions the tissue and stimulates the regeneration of collagen that will continue for many months. Gentle pressure is applied to the treated area to reshape the contours of your face.
-
How long does silhouette lift last?
The results typically last for between 18 months and two years, depending on a number of factors. To get the best results from your threads, you can make lifestyle changes such as wearing sunscreen, avoiding smoking and excessive drinking and following a balanced, healthy diet.
-
Who is a good candidate for Silhouette InstaLift®?
The procedure, also called Silhouette Soft, is recommended for men and women who want to correct sagging skin and loss of volume but aren’t ready for surgery.
-
What are the threads made from?
Poly L-lactic acid (PLLA) is the primary material used in the threads. It has a well-established safety record with many biomedical and pharmaceutical applications because it offers excellent biocompatibility and is biodegradable.
-
What makes the Silhouette InstaLift® threads unique?
There are small cones on the sutures that provides traction and fixation points which then stimulates the production and build-up of collagen.
-
Is the procedure safe?
The procedure has been developed after six years of research. With more than 150,000 treatments carried out around the world, Silhouette InstaLift® has been proved to be a safe, effective treatment to reverse some of the signs of aging.

I had a great experience with the nurse practitioner Ashley and Sara. I was so nervous to have this large cyst removed off my back. They explained every procedure to me and the injections in my back was not bad at all. Ashley was great removing my cyst. I'm so glad I came here the front desk girls are so nice and professional. Higly recommends coming here and I will come back. Thank you

Unhappy long-term patient. I have been going to KC Derm for several years, and have spent thousands of dollars over the years, & they actually called my WORK to collect $30 past due???? I come in twice every 3 months, & have given them so much money, not happy AT ALL. I've had to deal with EXTREMELY long wait times & rude staff, & now this? I've been considered finding a new place for quite some time now, & this confirmed my decision. They're getting their $30 in lieu of the estimated $4,000 I spend there a year. I used to recommend this place to others, but no more, find another place, there's several out there.

SchedulING dept sucks. Called 4 times today, transferred to scheduling dept and then placed on hold apparently forever. On 5th call got a voicemail to call back. PATHETIC service.
follow up. I scheduled laser treatment. they called and left me a message to call them. it took me 4 days of repeated attempts to get an appointment scheduled and if only happened after I called and refused to ve put in their nurse voicemail box the last time. often they are way behind in appointments. today 10.24.18 I had a 950 appointment scheduled. they finally called me at 1020 only after I checked with the front desk.
the excuse was that they were "doing other things".

I’ve been a long term patient for years since I was a teen. Spent ALOT of money on visits and their spa. I recently had a baby (didn’t get treatments done) & moved to a new place in 2017. Somehow my mail got lost in the shuffle with it getting forwarded. I finally call once I’m done nursing for a visit & I find out I’ve been BANNED due to a $90 bill! Mind you guys I’ve been seen there SINCE this bill was supposedly due & no one collected funds. The coordinator was really rude & short. I tried to rectify the situation & pay my bill, that I had no idea about to no avail. I’ve put up with LONG wait times, canceled appointments, short visits, and spent lots of money over the years for this treatment. Their customer service is outdated they need to make some changes.
