EXPERIENCE

Dr. Edds has over thirty five years experience performing a variety of cosmetic surgery procedures, including breast surgery, facial surgery, liposuction, tummy tucks and others. He has performed over ten thousand cosmetic surgical procedures. He has had the opportunity to train with multiple experts in the field of cosmetic and plastic surgery. Dr. Edds has performed over five thousand breast augmentation procedures and has been an invited lecturer to multiple audiences on cosmetic breast surgery.

ACADEMIC APPOINTMENTS

Dr. Edds is currently appointed and in good standing as an Assistant Professor within the voluntary faculty title series in the Department of Surgery at the UK College of Medicine.

EDUCATOR

Dr. Edds has trained surgeons in cosmetic surgery in approved Fellowship Programs. He has been a lecturer to international audiences at Saint Louis University and the University of Cincinnati, training surgeons in cosmetic breast surgery and body contouring procedures. Dr. Edds has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) and is a Board Examiner for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.

QUALITY IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES

Dr. Edds has worked for many years in improving the quality of ambulatory care in the United States. From 1995 – 2005 he served on the Board of Directors of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), the largest accreditor of ambulatory health care in the country, currently accrediting over fifty-five hundred surgery centers and health care organizations.

From 2003 to 2005, he was President of the Board of Directors for the AAAHC. Dr. Edds continues to travel about the country to inspect surgery centers for accreditation and teach on topics related to quality improvement.
