Dr. Petropoulos is an active member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Petropoulos has also achieved the RealSelf top Doctor award.

Dr. Petropoulos has been continuously licensed in Maryland since 1999. Dr. Petropoulos is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. As a highly respected board certified physician, with specialized training and certifications in aesthetic and regenerative medicine, Potomac Medical Aesthetics is his way to help men and women find new levels of self-confidence and achieve their personal goals.

Before his medical career, Dr. Petropoulos was a portrait photographer allowing him to develop an artistic eye, giving him the unique ability to create fully personalized and natural-looking results. “I start with a comprehensive consultation with each patient.” Building a long-term treatment regimen and plan requires time for examination, education, and conversation. Dr. Petropoulos looks at each patient’s health history, goals, and needs. He does not believe in taking shortcuts when it comes to his patients’ well being.

All patients will have facial analysis done by Canfield’s VISIA® system to provide even more accurate treatment plans. Dr. Petropoulos educates his patients, explains how a treatment works, and details why certain treatments are suited to each patient. With Dr. Petropoulos, you will never feel like just another number. He works closely with each patient to provide a personalized treatment plan designed around his or her specific circumstances.

This includes a male-specific treatment approach for the increasing number of men who are seeking to refine their looks through non-surgical medical aesthetics. “It is so important for me to make a real connection with my patients. This is a partnership.” Dr. Petropoulos’ patients say he’s very approachable and passionate about his work, and great to be around. He and his wonderful staff focus on compassionate care. “My goal is to restore self-confidence while achieving the ultimate patient experience.”
