Profile of James Murphy, Dr

Dr. James E. Murphy was born and raised in Reno, NV. He chose to earn his bachelor’s degree here at home from The University of Nevada, Reno, before attaining his medical degree from the same institution’s medical school in 1991. 

His passion for his country then led Dr. James E. Murphy to enlist in the United States Navy. Our doctor spent two years as a medical corpsman during Desert Storm, proudly serving the nation. 

Dr. James E. Murphy then completed a series of highly prestigious surgical residencies across the U.S. before deciding to return home to Reno. He chose to come back here because he wanted to raise his family in his hometown while creating the thriving surgery practice our city deserves.

Owning and operating his own surgical practice was daunting at first, but our surgeon has consistently excelled for decades. His Reno plastic surgery office and med spa have grown to become both wildly popular and widely respected. 

Patients especially love Dr. James E. Murphy’s easy-going bedside manner. They come to him struggling with cosmetic insecurities. He makes them feel at ease enough to discuss their desires, ask questions, and feel empowered about their choices.
