HORRIBLE HAIR TRANSPLANT EXPERIENCE. Dr Richardson did a hairline lowering on me 01/2019. He told me I needed hairline lowering and hair transplant to get the result I wanted and he was going to help me. I believed him . After the hairline lowering, he told me he lowered 3cm, then the number changed to 2 cm. He has few pictures of hair transplants in his website so I assumed he can do it and he is genuine. I went for my hair transplant 08/08/19 for 1000-1500 grafts which he charged me 4800. I moved from Texas to California Feb 2019. I flew back to Texas, paid money for hotels etc..(the cost added up to over 6000. The day of the hair transplant, he walked in, drew a hairline on me and in that particular moment, I knew I chose the wrong doctor for my procedure. I told him the corners were sharp and I didn't like it. He said we have to add hair here and there and that is how it is supposed to be. He was very cold and unfriendly. In that particular moment, I couldn't stop the surgery because I would lose my money. They gave me something to sleep with an IV. I woke up after he did the holes on my head but the transplant didn't start yet. During the transplant he was complaining about not usually doing more than 400 grafts. It made me feel uncomfortable and like I was a nuisance even though I am the patient and paid my money. What made me super depressed is he was cutting grafts, decided to stop all of a sudden and threw the piece of grafts that had at least 300 hair follicles in a biohazard bin and he said he always take more than he needs umh?. If you are doing a hair transplant, already you don't have enough hair, why would someone deliberately take more than he needs. At that moment, I knew he was lying and just didn't feel like doing it anymore. I wonder who did those 1700 hair grafts pic he has on his website. The next day, I called and he called me back. I told him how bad my face was swollen and how I hated the hairline and I was depressed. He said oh you will like it once the hair grow. I went to hair transplant specialists and they both said he clearly transplanted no more than 500 grafts and the hairline is horrible. I went for the stitches to be taken off 11 days later, since I had a FUT; he was so fake and phony being nice because he knows he did me wrong. He offered me some hair vitamins for free and said he is willing to fix my head. Now I booked an appointment with a hair transplant doctor in Los Gatos, CA for September 30, 2019, because now I cannot take a chance with someone inexperienced like Dr Richardson and my donor area is extremely limited.I will never get the look I want in this life because I trusted someone I shouldn't and everyday I am depressed over this. How can you treat a patient like that?
