I have had to go to Dr. Hughes a couple times for my younger son. He is gentle and caring. He is not an in-and-out doctor. He takes the time to know you and your situation. And yes (victoria) this may take a little longer in the office but I'd rather wait for a good doctor than one that just sees you as a number. For my sons first incident I started with another Doctor and he decided, without asking or telling me what my options were, to give me a quick fix for my (5 year old at the time) son which burned his skin and was very painful. I could not stand to see him getting burned so I found Dr. Hughes and he gave me a few options. I chose a gentler ointment rather than the acid that was originally prescribed. I was told that it would take longer to cure but at least I was given options and had a choice. After asking him, Dr. Hughes stated that the acid was probably prescribed because it was quicker to clear his skin and after asking the other doctor he agreed stating that most of his parents want the quick fix. Well I'm not most parents...
