BE AWARE!!! Scary and almost life threatening experience.
I initially went to Enhance Aesthetics to inquire about a new scar and what kind of treatments would be available. After a few consultations and a facial, I was convinced to come back and try the “vampire” facial. When I arrived for my appointment, there was an awkward feeling in their office and despite his normal pompous demeanor- Dr. Gentry and his wife seemed very sketchy. There’s only 3 people that work in the office, that includes Dr. Gentry and his wife, and the aesthetician. They put me in a room that had no air conditioning or air flow whatsoever. I told them I was hot, stuffy, and feeling uncomfortable. I also told him that I sometimes have a hard time getting my blood drawn because I have very small veins and nurses have trouble finding my veins. Apparently, Dr. Gentry took that as “anxiety” and promptly offered me a Valium. I told him that I’ve never taken one before and he let me know that it was fine to take it because they would be numbing my face and it would help me relax. I found it impossible to relax in a small hot room with no air flow or air conditioning. I waited 20-30 minutes before he came into the room and wrapped my arm with a rubber band to draw blood. He wrapped my arm so tightly, tighter than I’ve ever experienced, and I told him it was hurting me. Instead of taking his time and acting in a careful and concerned way- his ego took over and he wanted to prove he would find a vein better and quicker than the previous blood draws I’ve had. Worst experience of my life. :( Then he stuck me extremely hard in the arm and moved the needle around until I was shouting that he was hurting me. Did he remove the needle? No. Even after I asked him multiple times? No. He kept trying to draw blood. I was in so much pain. I passed out. When I came back, he wasn’t in the room but the aesthetician was. I felt like I was going to have a heart attack, I was soaking wet in sweat and had peed on myself. I couldn’t catch my breath and asked them to call 911. His wife walked in the room visibly angry and said that “he” (Dr. Gentry) was a doctor so there was no reason to call 911. Then she said that they couldn’t work on me anymore and appeared to try to make it my fault. Of course she wouldn’t want to admit that her husband had done anything wrong. Dr. Gentry never explained or even apologized or tried to help remedy the situation. I believe he manipulated me into believing he was an experienced plastic surgeon and in reality this guy is so unqualified and under experienced. I hope no one else ever has to suffer through the manipulation and trauma I went through in this fake office. My arm was black and blue after what he did and the pictures are frightening.
Do not be fooled by them or anyone that works for Dr. Gentry!
