I have NEVER left a bad review and I can only hope to save someone from going through what I'm going through. I started doing preventative botox and fillers with Misty Shed eight years ago. I followed her from the place I met her in Frisco to another place in Frisco and now here. When I found her I read a lot of great things about her and I thought I was in good hands. Unfortunately, I'm left with this terrible bulge under my right eye that is most visible when I smile. I first noticed it about two years after she started injecting me and brought it to her attention. I can't recall what her exact words were but she said something along the lines of the bulge I was seeing was my muscle or nerves. I trusted her and she was the ONLY person that had ever injected me so I just lived with it and really and truly believed it was normal. Over the years Misty has injected my tear troughs (under eyes), my cheeks, and lips with filler multiple times. At my request she would inject my under eyes at least once a year as I was trying to correct that bulge and the hollows under my eyes. Much to my disappointment the bulge wouldn't get any better it actually looked like it was getting worse. Along the years I also complained about the filler in my lips and she told me that for some reason the filler liked to pocket in some areas on me. I was instructed to massage these bumps that would form on my lips and as painful as it was I would always massage them away every time they popped up. I thought this was normal as I didn't have any other experience to compare it to. Now that I've found someone who truly is an expert when it comes to facial injections I know for a fact what I was experiencing with Misty was NOT NORMAL. It's been brought to my attention that the famous bulge under my eye is not what Misty told me it was and what's worse is this ugly bulge was caused by Misty. Misty either injected me incorrectly or used the wrong filler and that's what caused the bulge. The new injector I found was able to camouflage the bulge under my eye and it is less visible but it's still there. The new injector told me she will not inject my under eyes for at least one year and that we will have to wait and see because it might be two years before anything can be injected under my eyes. To make matters worse I was treated poorly by Jennifer (manager) when I called Surface Skin Spa. Jennifer was unprofessional and condescending. It's mind-blowing how someone in a management position can make matters worse but that's exactly what happened. We both agreed we were not going to solve anything and it would be best for Misty to call me. Misty called me shortly after and although she did apologize I hung up feeling more upset and robbed than ever. Misty told me she wishes I would've let her fix my under eye area. I immediately reminded Misty all the times I pointed out the bulge to her and asked her what we could do about it and she would always tell me that was my muscle or nerves and nothing more could be done. She then said "uh I just wish you would've really pulled me aside and been like listen to me Misty". So basically the conclusion is that I should've read her mind and known she was lying to me? In what world does that make sense? So I'm left with $$$THOUSANDS$$$ of dollars spent in vain every time Misty injected my under eyes (this was actually making the bulge get worse so I was paying to make my concern worse which I obviously didn't know at the time). As if that's not enough I've been walking around with this ugly bulge under my right eye for about six years now. If you are looking for facial injections, please be careful. I will admit I was naive for trusting Misty but again she had great reviews and was even a National educator at the time I became her client. PLEASE do your research! Also, clearly customer service is non existent at Surface Skin Spa based on the way Jennifer treated me
