I went in for a consultation for filler with Dr. Turowski. Within the first five minutes of meeting him, I was incredibly offended and hurt. He immediately told me, “ Has anyone ever told you that you need plastic surgery?” I’m just going to quote some of the things he told me in my consultation. “You need a nose job.” “Your nose is too big.” “You would be much prettier if you got a nose job.” “You would look like a model if you did plastic surgery.” I should have walked out right then... I even told him that I wasn’t interested in plastic surgery and he kept pushing it. But I kept with the appointment and he went on to take pictures of me to show me how much prettier I would be if I did some procedures. Even though I was only there for a consultation for filler!!! He then showed me that “my chin is too small for my big nose.” I went in there to potentially feel a little more confident, but instead walked out with a few more insecurities and felt ugly for the first time in my life. I wanted to run out of there... but the lady the gave me the prices was very sweet and compassionate when I told her what happened. As I walked out, I saw him get into his Ferrari. He was so pushy with plastic surgery and had NO regard for my feelings that it just seemed like a he just wanted me to spend all my money on plastic surgery to be “pretty” and for him to continue making lots of money. It was a horrible, horrible experience... especially since I wanted this consultation right before my bday to feel good. Instead I felt SO bad about myself. I understand he is a plastic surgeon and looks at faces to fix them. But I didn’t ask for that... he needs to be way more sensitive and not talk about things that people are not asking for. I even told him that a couple times. I walked out in shock... but after two hours of now hating my face... I completely got over it... because I don’t actually think these things about myself and am way more confident and secure than I thought I was. It was a lesson for sure. But... as a business... he needs to be WAY more sensitive and not push things on people that they are NOT asking for and features that they are NOT even trying to “fix.” We are all unique and beautiful. I am sure he is a wonderful plastic surgeon... but maybe he should NOT be booked for consultations for Filler.
