I went to Dr. Handel with severe breathing problems and a decent nose that fit my face. I now have a functional, beautiful nose. He is a very talented surgeon and doctor.

Several months prior to meeting Dr. Handel I was told by an ENT that I would need to undergo a second turbinectomy as well as additional procedures in order to breathe correctly. After meeting with the ENTs recommended surgeons I was terrified of the barbaric options presented to me. The recommended procedures included rib grafts or cadaver grafts, six or more hours of surgery, and a lengthy recovery. My nose would also look different, which I hadn't thought about.

A friend suggested I get a second opinion from a plastic surgeon and recommended Dr. Handel. Katerina at Dr. Handels office was able to squeeze me in for an appointment the next day. Dr. Handel thoroughly assessed my nose and explained the issue in more detail than any previous specialist. The procedures he recommended were all logical. There would be no cadaver grafts or rib grafts and maximum procedure time was estimated at four hours.

His surgical fees were reasonable, especially since the procedures are complex and have a high rate of revision. I knew Dr. Handel was the only with the experience and skill to get it right the first time.

Katerina made scheduling a surgery day and time as easy as it was to schedule the initial consultation. Surgery went smoothly and took approximately two hours. Dr. Handel was even by my side when I woke up from anaesthesia to reassure me that everything went well.

The follow up appointments were quick and the aftercare instructions were easy to follow. I noticed improved breathing as soon as the packing was removed two days after surgery. When the cast was removed a week after surgery I was thrilled to see a beautiful nose that looked better than the original while still looking like part of my face. Breathing and asthetics continue to improve as it heals. People I've known since childhood have commented that I look great without noticing the new nose.
