Sep 22, 2024Dr. Shaw offers a treatment called PRP. I was hopeful that it would make my hair come in thicker and fuller. I met his assistant for a consult. She mentioned that I would not achieve successful results if my hormone levels were off. Therefore, I went to have my blood drawn to check my hormone levels prior to paying and scheduling the procedure. My hormone levels came back normal. I paid the $1200 and set the 3 required appointments to do the procedure. Each appointment my blood was drawn, and then several shots were injected into my head. It was VERY Uncomfortable!!! First treatment NO CHANGE, second treatment NO CHANGE, last treatment NO CHANGE. When I spoke to them about there being no growth or thickness they said to wait. It takes time. I started the process 6 months ago and still there is NO CHANGE! A COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY !!!!
ON THEIR WEBSITE it states that PRP contains platelet rich fibrin and growth factors that stimulate new hair growth. It also states this PRP treatment creates hair that grows back thicker and stronger.
I recently went to a follow up visit with Dr. Shaw to ask him for my money back. Dr Shaw refused to reimburse me.
