Gene Sloan, Dr

I had my breast aug in 2006 and absolutely give Dr Sloan and staff 5 stars.
Flash forward to 2020 when I called because I was having over 80 symptoms of breast implant illness and had been very ill for 8 years and wanted a consult for explant. All consults and appointments and pre-op done over the phone bc of covid and after having to convince him how sick I was he stated he did not believe in breast implant illness and no guarantee I would get any better and I would not be pleased with how I looked. He insisted I did not need my capsules out because they would just dissolve. After trying many times discussing this, I agreed and after 4 different pre-op appts with different nurses ( none having any idea why I wanted explant) I finally got them removed June of 21. Surgery was simple and successful and I healed quickly and pleased with how I look. I am not pleased, however with not getting a follow up appointment or even a call. I finally called the office and the nurse did not ask about my well-being, just a call wanting a photo of my new implants. I just hung up.
I then emailed Dr Sloan months later and told him at least 30 of my symptoms were gone and I was doing so much better but how disappointed I was in his staff and how he treated me not believing I was ill from implants I should have had taken out years before. I did not, because I was dealing with skin cancer on my chest neck head and face that I feel was caused by toxins from shells of implants that were breaking down.
His reply was thank you for the learning experience for my new staff. Very disappointed by a doctor I held in high regard. I hope he treats anymore clients that come in wanting explant better that he did me.
