DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

Let me start off with saying that never in my life have I left a review on anything. That should say enough. This
"bariatric" doctor told me that I have a plethora of mental illnesses including bipolar disorder due to being
emotional when speaking about previous weight related
trauma. He then went on to tell me that I couldn't possibly know my own mind, even though I told him I'd gotten a similar service six years ago and never suffered from the things he assumed that I did. He then pushed the fact that my mentality would worsen after getting a revision on my surgery and stated the only way I can move forward would be to take medications for said illnesses. The ones that I don't even have? Yeah, those.

He called my first surgery a "quick judgement" though a full two years of planning with consultations from various doctors had taken place. And I told him that. Then he said they can't take my insurance even though before I paid for my consultation, they said that they could. So I would have to pay $30,000 for a procedure that is covered by my insurance. I have Blue Cross... it's one of the best insurance packages they offer and it covered the procedure I was looking for. However, my favorite part of this entire encounter was when he said that failing at losing weight after surgery is worse than death. Come to find out, he is a cosmetic surgeon. If I could leave no stars I would, the one star is because Stephanie is the sweetest person I've met in a while and the place is clean so I'll give you that. Hardly. All in all, If you are black, plus sized or a human who shows a lick of emotion, you will be labeled as mentally ill, so do not expect to get taken seriously unless you are apart of the 1%. In short, there are better doctors out there that actually care about you and not just your money. Don’t let this crypt keeper rob you.
