After a months-long odyssey of visiting various doctors to see if someone would be willing to address a massive open cystic wound on my head, I finally visited Dr. O'Neill who took one look at it and named it for what it was -- Cancer. Squamous cell carcinoma, to be specific. I was scared, one always is when the word "cancer" is said, but the testing bore out his initial suspicion. From there, everything got taken care of quickly - MRIs and CT scans and then excision with skin graft. My initial surgery was the week the world shut down for Covid, but throughout my recovery, I was in their office every week, and then every 2 weeks. Not only are the staff and Dr. O'Neill compassionate and thorough, they also put in place Covid safety protocols to ensure that even in the earliest and most-unsure days of the pandemic, when no one really knew what was safe and what wasn't, I always felt secure going there.

I am continuing to be a patient of Dr. O'Neill to help take care of nuisance cysts before they potentially turn cancerous, and I always feel so validated and well taken care of at that office. I am so thankful for them.
