How does pain turn into a five star review? I came to this office for a nasal stent removal when my doctor was out of the office. Plot twist: I am the type of patient who has a minimal response to pain medications, and despite being on max hydrocodone with acetaminophen and Motrin, my pain response was explosively intense and far beyond what was normal or expected for this procedure.

Let me tell you that Sandra's response was so deeply compassionate, I felt immediately heard and comforted and that my voice and pain mattered. They had never had a pain response like this result from nasal stent removals, and it shocked all of us.

Sandra spent nearly an hour with me to provide comfort and learn what they could change to make this procedure less painful for future patients like me. She engaged with me on all the ways I've learned to manage my pain, how they could apply those experiences here, and she was willing to engage even when my experience contradicted what she was previously taught was simply not an option. She listened and I felt heard.

5 stars for genuine compassion, for deep care and time spent to engage with me when other offices would have pretended the pain didn't exist, and especially for ensuring my pain resulted in purpose. I'll absolutely remember and return to this team, knowing I'm in the right hands.
