Nov 22, 2024Although we had to travel 6 hours to this surgical institution, I in no way regret it. Prior to surgery, the Institute provided me a caseworker that helped facilitate all the paperwork, checked to make sure everything was completed before I arrived, and answered any question I had. The day before surgery, I was led into a luxurious waiting room. There, I talked to my caseworker, a nurse, the surgeon, Dr Raphael, and the anesthesiologist. We confirmed my goals for the surgery, how the surgery was to be done, and the schedule for the next day. Surgery went well the next day. The surgical suite was state of the art. The next day, I returned to check on my progress and to receive final instructions before I went home. Happily, they wrote all the instructions down as I was still a bit loopy from the surgery. During the next two weeks, the staff monitored my wellbeing through pictures and telephone conversations. They answered all my questions when I had them. Thus, I would fully recommend the Institute for all your transition needs.
