I got a phenol peel two years ago. My face now looks exactly the same as it did then. The results were not as described and the faint improvement I did see lasted a year max. Also, when I asked for the Before and After photos from my procedure, I was only sent the "After" photos where I wasn't smiling. When I asked for the "After" photos of me smiling, they said they had lost them. This is peculiar, because the purpose of the peel was to reduce my under-eye lines that are very visible when smiling. In other words, the photos that would actually show whether the procedure was a success or not were lost. At the post-op check-in I was also told ominously that I have "Thick Skin." I'm not sure what that means exactly, but I'd guess that it means the thickness of my skin prevented the procedure from working. ... The staff are all friendly, and I do appreciate Dr. Amadi recommending a more affordable procedure for me than the one I originally inquired about, but I'm afraid the 4 grand I paid for his procedure have gone to waste.
