Apr 19, 2025I've had several surgeries here. This review shouldn't reflect upon the providers here. Thanks to the incompetency of their billing department, I no longer feel comfortable going here. My last appointment I was very embarrassed in front of a lobby full of people, by the office who demanded a copay, even though I explained that I shouldn't have a copay & asked them to check closer. They didn't, instead adamantly insisting I pay or my appointment would be cancelled. I wasn't expecting that & at first didn't think I had all the money on me, further adding to my embarrassment. I had a distinct feeling like being mugged. Luckily, digging deep, I was able to pay. Days later I had to spend hours talking with my insurance before they called billing to explain that I should NOT have a co-pay. Billing told them I'd receive a refund, but I never did, nor did they ever return my multiple voicemails. On a separate occasion, 18 months after surgery, they began repeatedly sending me a bill for $30,000! As it turned out, billing failed to submit claim for payment to my insurance as required within the initial 120 days from service. NOT MY FAULT and they knew it! But instead of owning their mistake, they RUDELY alleged I'd previously signed some sort of agreement binding me to personally accept full responsibility. NO WAY!! Again, hours & days on the phone to my insurance having to clear up THEIR mistake! 😡
