Dr. Alghoul is a focused, disciplined and phenomenally talented plastic surgeon. I wanted to take a moment to describe his skills beyond his impressive cosmetic surgery.
In my case, he worked in concert with neurosurgery to reconstruct my skull after multiple craniotomies in Atlanta left me with exposed, damaged and diminished skull, thin skin, loss of muscle, detached arteries, minimal blood flow and a serious brain infection.
Dr. Alghoul delicately took a very superficial skin graft from my leg to expand the skin on my head, removed part of my latissimus muscle to place over the 3D model of my skull that replaced my damaged or missing skull to provide protection. He re-attached arteries and introduced protective muscle that had been destroyed in previous surgeries and applied a doppler on my head to monitor blood flow during healing post-surgery.
I had such confidence in his skills as he diligently monitored the device and my wound healing with a amazing level of serious and precise attention.
Only a few weeks out of very complicated surgery and it was a huge success! My head contour looks perfect and the infection is completely gone. I will be returning to Chicago from Atlanta to have additional plastic surgery to remove the skin graft as my head heals and to correct my left brow to bring it back to where it was before the terrible surgeries I endured in my home state.
What an exceptional hospital! What exceptional nurses and support staff at Plastics!
