I am so glad to have found Dr. Kwak when I was initially looking for an eyelid surgeon here in NYC! At the time I had one natural double eyelid and one without, and wanted to get the monolid side done to match my natural double eyelid. My research indicated that this single procedure was a more difficult surgery than getting both sides done since matching a natural crease is harder. I consulted with Dr. Kwak and he did advise that doing both would be more advisable so that they age the same, but was able to accommodate just the one side. I had the procedure done and was extremely happy with the results - after it was all healed up, both sides looked exactly the same and noone could tell it was done!

A couple years later, my natural crease fell out and I reached back out to Dr. Kwak to get that one done as well. I should have listened to his advice the first time :) But of course this second one also ended up looking perfect and now both sides are firmly in place, match each other completely and look super natural!

I have since recommended Dr. Kwak to friends and family and all have been very pleased with the results, including my husband who got a functional septoplasty. I know I can trust Dr. Kwak to be honest about what he thinks will be best functionally and aesthetically, even if that means refraining from getting a procedure or being more conservative, which is such an important quality in plastic surgery where it is easy to overdo things. As a Korean myself I also really appreciate that he understands the Asian approach to aesthetics as well. He and his staff are always kind and professional and he is really at the top of his field!
