Jul 1, 2025Dr Spiegel literally saved my reconstruction! I had a first surgery back in the UK (mastectomy and reconstruction), and had expanders placed, but had pretty serious complications - hematomas, capsular contraction on my right side. The feel and look were quite bad, but the chronic pain was the hardest to deal with. I reached out to Dr Spiegel earlier this year for a revision surgery, hoping she can take me on as a patient. Not only did her and her team respond promptly, but they showed a level of care and commitment I hope any patient can experience. I had my surgery in May and the result has been fantastic - the pain is gone, which I thought was the most important criterion. But seeing how the implants look and feel as well, aspects I had dismissed, I am so happy I decided to have Dr Spiegel and her team deal with my revision. These 'smaller' aesthetic details are so important for our well-being - now, even my brain is actually tricked and cannot make the difference between before and after, and this has significantly improved my relationship with my body. I cannot thank Dr Spiegel enough for what her and her team have achieved, and for the level of care and consideration they have shown!
