I had a PET procedure a week ago. I reside out of state and setting up the procedure was very simple. When I arrived, there was an approximate 4 hour wait from when I checked in to when the procedure was done. The check in process was a bit confusing as the scheduler could not tell me the time I was scheduled and had me sit and wait while she prepared my file because she didn’t have anything prepared for me. I also wasn’t made aware of an additional cost for a Covid and Flu test until a day before the procedure totaling $170. When I initially paid for my procedure, I wasn’t made aware of the extra cost. I was handed one qtip stick to swab myself and was told they were testing for both. However only 1 test stick was provided. I thought this was a bit over priced but understood.

Dr De Souza was very professional and pleasant along with his nurse assistant. They made me feel very comfortable and engaged in conversation. The nurse was very professional and pleasant while we waited for the anesthesia to kick in. The procedure itself was a breeze. Very positive experience.

I was handed my belongings and finally able to go home. However, on the drive home I called the clinic and asked if there was anything I should have been given for postoperative care. I realized they make you sign a hundred pages; however, never gave me a copy of postop care. Spoke to the scheduler assigned to me and she told me someone else would have spoken to me, I had to ask for something to be emailed to me to ensure I followed proper care. A week later, I received a text message from the clinic if I had any questions.

In all, they were very pleasant. The confusion prevented me from giving them a 5 Star review. I was completely satisfied with how the procedure went. I highly recommend them for the PET procedure.
