I went to see Dr. Elam after being referred to him in 2017. I went there after loosing over 100 pounds and wanted a tummy tuck. He convinced me that I should have full body lipo because his method of lipo would tighten my skin and fix the area of concern. I expressed with my concerns many times after the surgery and his said oh we couldn't of given you a tummy tuck without doing lipo even though I was happy at my current weight after loosing all that weight. He also talked me into getting buccal fat removal at the same time. Needles to say I was unhappy with my results of the lipo and he said don't worry I will give you a great deal on a tummy tuck. I discuss with him exactly what I wanted during multiple consults before I finally said ok lets do it. Day of surgery I get there early and another Doctor marked up my body and I went in for the surgery. After the surgery a few days later when bandages were removed I discovered that my surgery wasn't perform as we had spoke about. Dr. Elam did a partial tummy tuck and left my love handles behind after discussing that they would be removed and had paid for this to be done and I contract MRSA at his office. So after expressing this concern to him for almost 4 months he kept telling me he would correct that problem. During my last visit he tried to put me off another month and I got upset about it and he finally said oh I am not fixing it you should take this up with the Doctor who assisted me on your surgery. I said no I am taking this up with you because I paid your office and you hired an outside doctor you should make this right. Needless to say they asked me to leave the office and are refusing to make things right. I am now working with another doctor to correct the surgery. I thought he was a stand up guy and good person but all he did was get me to do other surgeries I didn't need to make more money off me and after spending over $23,000 with him on my surgeries my body still isn't the way I was told it would be when I placed my body & life in his hands to correct my imperfections on my body. Very disappointed with this practice. By the way he has changed the name of his practice so beware. He also didn't put the scar on my body where he said it would be. I was told it would be below my waistline and guess what it isn't. You can see it over my pants when I am dressed. I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH MY RESULTS.
