Nov 25, 2024On 3/18/2016. Dr. Peter Johnson performed a tummy tuck/hernia with mesh surgery on me , at Lutheran General. The surgery failed , turning my stomach a dark black , looking like a piece of charcoal. My stomach split apart from the stitches. He then did surgery approximately two weeks later, removing the mesh and stitches, leaving a gaping hole the size of a dessert plate. My stomach rotted away, it took 18 feet of gauze to fill the gaping hole. Infections and 4 more additional surgeries , including skin grafts were performed over the next 11 months to “close”the hole . During all of this is, I was going to the wound care center to also help heal and close the wound , 3 X a week at first . I was under their for 14 months . Excruciating pain I suffered through this , nerve damage, and major infections. Dr. Johnson “ promised “ to fix my now hugely lopsided stomach ! He has instead chosen to ignore me , wanting even MORE money to repair the mess , as was conveyed to me by his snippy receptionist. I paid $ 13,000 cash , my insurance paid thousands for wound care , and the additional repair surgeries !
