When I was given a list of plastic surgeons for breast reconstruction, I started making calls - a lot of calls. I knew I’d found my doctor when I spoke with Dr. Rhee’s team. While I was aware they were handling endless patient calls and appointments, I always felt I had their undivided attention.
Meeting with Dr. Rhee felt exactly the same. He agreed to meet me and my husband on a Friday after 5pm, when anyone else would’ve rather been elsewhere. However, rather than rush through the appointment, he took the time to go over my diagnosis, the anatomy of my breasts, the different surgery paths with each of their pro’s and con’s and, perhaps most notably, he promised me I was “going to be just fine” at a time when I wasn’t sure if I was.
Coincidentally, I was having coffee with a mom-friend two weeks ago and she asked who my plastic surgeon is. When I shared Dr. Rhee’s name, she said “Oh wow! He’s the best there is. He’s all over the social media mom groups as the trusted plastic surgeon.” I can attest that Dr. Rhee’s reputation is well earned as he’s mastered the art and science of our most “beautiful” pursuits (all with excellent bedside manner). We are so fortunate to have him here in Douglas County.
A big heartfelt thank you to Dr. Rhee and his team for stitching me back together. Somehow this wild journey is making me feel more whole from the inside out and I am thankful I get to walk through this with them.
Dr. Rhee is the only doctor I’d recommend to my closest friends and family for plastic surgery and I hope this offers some reassurance to anyone considering working with him (just do it!).
