Mar 30, 2026My wife was a prior patient of Dr Fox a few years ago; everything then was really good. I saw him last month to have a lesion removed from each hand. He isn't very personable at all. Seemed actually irritated that I was there. He stated what he would do, then left the room. On the day of the excision, everything went well, and he seems to be very good at what he does, but he's just not a friendly person at all, and again, seemed like I was bothering him being there. Both sets of stitches broke, a day apart, in spite of being extremely careful, and had to be restitched. I don't blame him for that, things happen. On the re-do, he again seeemed completely irritated. A resident did the second set of stitches, and she was very pleasant. On the day he removed the stitches, he showed me the pathology report long enough for a fast glance then grabbed it out of my hand before I could even read it.
Each time I was there, I greeted him politely, "Hello, how's it going?", etc, and he didn't even answer or acknowledge any of it. It bordered on just being aloof or rude. If you're after a surgeon with really good skills, Dr. Fox probably won't disappoint you at all. If you're hoping for a friendly or kind person, he's not your guy. Maybe he's got something going on, it happens to us all at some point, I get it. Maybe he's mad my problems weren't worth thousands of dollars, who knows? Based on prior experience, I was expecting a nicer guy I guess. Probably won't go back or recommend.
