I’ve been going to Dr. Burgess for general dermatological care (annual checkups and mole removal) for at least five years and am very happy with her and her staff. Dr, Burgess has a warm and caring “bedside manner” and does not try to upsell you on everything like other dermatologists I’ve visited, but is happy to provide more information and potential solutions to anything I mention that is bothering me about my skin’s appearance. She also doesn’t give me grief about the fact that I enjoy spending time in the sun, often without sunscreen, as I rarely burn and tan easily due to my Southern European ancestry. I know as well as she that everyone should wear sunscreen so I appreciate the lack of a sanctimonious “reminder” guilt trip.

I have also been doing Botox injections there for the past few years and she does a very professional, natural looking job of it, as well as having a light touch with the needle which I appreciate. She now offers Restylane cosmetic filler for under eyes, which I plan to try as I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile to address worsening hereditary “tear troughs” now that I’m in the back half of my forties.

Also, Veronica, the nurse who works with Dr. Burgess, is very friendly and personable and we usually have a laugh about one thing or another every time I come in. She also clearly and accurately communicates any concerns I have to the doctor so I don’t have to repeat myself like with other doctors I have visited who do not have such highly competent staff. They seem to have a very positive working relationship, which I appreciate as it creates an upbeat atmosphere in the office and fosters good communication.

Overall, I couldn’t recommend Dr. Burgess and her team more!
