Apr 11, 2026l'd give this surgeon less than one star if I could. I contacted the office because I was experiencing severe pain in my scar and clear signs that something was rapidly worsening. They insisted it was "just a keloid flare."
By Day 2, I sent updated photos showing how quickly the swelling, pain, and inflammation were progressing. I explained repeatedly that this was far beyond normal hypertrophic scarring pain, but they dismissed my concerns and gave me the runaround instead of taking me seriously.
I went to urgent care, but that doctor wouldn't drain the area he said the surgeon needed to handle it.
By Day 3, it was obvious that this was exactly what | feared: an infection. After two visits to Piedmont Urgent Care, I was finally told it was an abscess. Yet the surgeon's office still refused to see me, claiming the issue "was not related to the surgery."
Update 10/4: the abscess required surgery the very next day. After the procedure, the hospital wound surgeon told me that the abscess formed because a suture had been left inside my body for over two years.
I wouldn't recommend this surgeon to my worst enemy. Their negligence caused a serious infection, unnecessary pain, and emergency surgery—all because they refused to listen.
